![]() ![]() I also attended a workshop on reaching reluctant readers with Star Wars books and I think that Tom’s series with Yoda, Darth Paper, and the Wookie is an excellent way to inspire kids to read. Having kids has benefits! We were able to sit in the family room in a more intimate setting and I even got to meet Tom after the workshop. Origami Yoda was a workshop for adults in Star Wars University as well as a smaller workshop in the family room. The two other books in the series: Darth Paper Strikes Back and The Secret of the Fortune Wookie also give great lessons to students and just as fun as the first one in the series. Origami Yoda gives advice to the boy who created him along with others who believe. Tom’s selection of books helps readers through the struggles of school life. Who here is the strangest kid in their school? Tom Angleberger stood at the front of the room and raised his hand, along with half of kids at the Origami Yoda workshop in the family room at Star Wars Celebration VI. ![]()
